Hi Guys!
So yesterday I got my A Level results! Last year for my AS Levels, I studied Psychology and History. I must admit that I was very disappointed with my Psychology results because I had been consistently getting A's and B's in my mock exams, but in the real thing I ended up getting a D in my second exam which bought my overall grade down to a C. I ended up making the decision to drop Psychology and just focus on my History A Level this year. I also picked up an EPQ.
For my EPQ (Extended Project Qualification), I decided to look at equality in tennis (e.g., coaching, length of match, money). I received my results yesterday and managed to get a B! An EPQ is worth half an A Level, and I would recommend it to anyone who is good at working independently. Universities also love EPQ's, so seriously consider doing one if you know you want to go!
I was also very happy with my History grade! I ended up getting a C overall, which was what I expected after I finished the exam! I was even more happy when I found out that the grade boundaries were particularly high this year!
I hope everyone is as happy as I am with their results! If you're not then don't worry - there is always support out there for anyone who is worried about their results! I was actually speaking to my mums friend the other day who owns a company, and he was saying that they never look at grades and work experience - they just speak to the person, and if they seen like a good fit then they hire them - to them it doesn't matter about grades...personality is most important. Don't forget that a lot of people will agree that personality is more important than grades when they hire people, so don't worry too much about your results!
Comment below and let me know what you studied and how you did!
